Mobile visits and Helmsdale workshop — ECU remapping across Sutherland and Caithness, backed by years in the motor trade and hands-on experience with the vehicles we work on.
Started out in traditional mechanical work — spanners, not software. ECUs back then were simple things and remapping wasn't really a service anyone was offering up here. We picked it up in 2009 because it genuinely interested us, and it's grown from there into the main part of what we do.
We use the Alientech KESS3 — OBD, bench and boot access in a single professional unit. That means we can read and write ECUs and TCUs via the diagnostic port for most modern vehicles, and go direct to the ECU on the bench or via boot mode where OBD isn't possible. We don't subcontract the work out or rely on generic file libraries — everything is done here, and we're on hand afterwards if anything needs looking at. That's how it should be.
